Pastor Dr. Rosalyn  L. Overton was born, raised and is a true native daughter of Chicago’s Southside. Dr. Overton is a graduate of Marie S. Curie High School, and as a young mother attended Chicago State University where through faith and determination she earned her Bachelor’s of Science degree, before advancing on to Hope Bible Seminary and College where she earned her Master’s and then Doctoral degree in the Philosophy of Ministry.

Bred in Chicago, raised in a loving Christian home, being spiritually led, Dr. Overton deeply understands the need for a positive impact on the people of this generation and generations to come. On this premise, Dr. Overton then founded and pastors, Follow Me As I Follow Christ Outreach Ministries, Inc.    

Currently, Dr. Overton has been pastoring, giving prophetic words, preaching and teaching for what will soon be five exciting and blessed years. This God given ministry has been an annointed on-growing ministry, where signs and wonders of healing, deliverance and prophetic utterances have come into fruition. Within her ministry, Dr. Overton has implemented a weekly prayer line, that has yielded a harvest of answered prayers for individuals who need more direct contact and specific prayers answered.

Dr. Overton has now developed a series of CD's of her services with the intent to reach the masses and aid in the growth of the ministry. Some of these are “But.......... When You Get Through,” “Still I Rise”, “ Investing in The Promises of God,” “Whose Shadow Are You In” and “It’s Not A Choice, It’s A Charge!”

Dr. Overton now teaches and preaches for churches and conferences all over the U.S. This year’s God instructed mandate is to go to abroad to establish her God given ministry and reach those individuals that have a deep yearning, or want to develop an appreciation for God’s Word but don’t have the resources available to them for spiritual maintenance.

With God revealing to her that her ministry would not be that of a conventional one, she has picked up the mandate and followed through on obedience for God’s complete Will to be done in her life. Dr. Overton works with an outreach Ministry where prayer and the benevolence ministry goes forth each weekend as a night ministry for individuals who have no home and live and work on the street and even goes behind the prison walls to reach, teach and preach God’s Word to those who can’t get it any other way.

Dr. Overton has also assisted with the many ministries by giving monthly workshops for the underprivileged and the like. She also believes highly and strongly in community outreach and touching lives on the outside of conventional walls.
